It's a real "guide", it walks you through like a friend, a hand-holding comfort that takes away some of the fear and the unknown during what is a frightening, confusing, and desperate time. What I found most helpful was the warmth of the author, the human touches throughout her book, her injections of light humor - at a time you really, really need it.I offer my utmost recommendation of this book, and suggest that everyone in this process who's having a difficult time read this book. It really shines light on what feels like a very dark path to walk alone. The information if so helpful, the system makes sense, and I know how to expedite the remainder of my wait. I wish I had this book 5 years ago. I know several people that have gone (or are going) through the process, and were continuously denied for unknown reasons. This book breaks down the various categories each individual is evaluated by. It is a VERY helpful resource for anyone suffering from a disability.
